These programmes are developed with the individual, for the individual during 1:1 instruction which can be done both at home and outdoors, depending on the personal preference, which will be determined during the initial assessment.
A Personalised Service
Autumn Years Fitness spends time getting to know you, exploring your aspirations along with your likes and dislikes.
We also explore lifestyles for example if your aspiration is weight loss/ body fat loss we need to look at out current diet and frequency (what you currently eat, how often, etc.), pre-existing health conditions, current activities, work, sleep, stress, etc.
This doesn’t mean giving up all the things you enjoy, so don’t panic. We will, however, work on making small lifestyle changes over time, which will put you in a better healthier position, long into the future.
From this exploration we will agree goals and a Personalised programme is developed, which not only includes exercises but also includes calorific intake plans (how many calories per day, the amount of carbohydrates, protein, etc.)
The benefits also include your choice of where and when you want to train, whether that’s in your own home, local fitness venues or the great outdoors, it will be your choice that is built into your Personal Fitness Plan.
Choice and control meets many people’s needs especially individuals who may not feel confident at a gym or fitness venue or suffer from conditions such as poor self-image, self-esteem or agoraphobia.
Sessions will be planned at a time convenient to you.
If cost is an issue, why not consider training with a friend or partner, this shares the costs and you still get the benefits of a Personal Trainer. The initial assessment would still need to be personal but the ongoing training sessions can be shared..
Personal Training – Tailored for Individuals
In this day and age of austerity and limited finances, we can provide options for sharing the cost of a Personal Trainer between couples, friends or small groups (up to 4 indivuduals).
The only proviso is that your goals and aspirations need to be similar e.g. improving mobility/flexibility, weight loss/ body fat loss, etc. Fitness training programmes are developed to cater for the individuals within the group.
Chair Based Exercise for Individuals
Personal Training can be provided for people who are less mobile, through Chair Based exercises. Personal preference will be determined during the initial assessment.
Following this a personalised training programme is then developed for the individual. Training sessions can be done both at home and outdoors, depending on the personal preference.
Group Fitness Classes
These are generic classes which includes the whole body. The classes are aimed at providing holistic ‘all round’ fitness, incorporating cardiovascular (aerobic), mobility, flexibility, toning and relaxation.
Again these can be tailored to a specific group e.g. if you have a group of friends you would like to exercise with. Exercises don’t have to include cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise, if it’s not appropriate for the group in question.

Below are some details of some example classes
Retro Step
This is combines 80’s step routines with power step combining warm up, maintenance stretch, cardio vascular (aerobic), cool down, body toning and developmental stretches. This class runs for 1 hour
Retro Step & Stress Buster
This class structure is the same as Retro Step but runs for 1½ hours and includes stress relief and relaxation at the end of the session.
What should I wear?
Step is aerobics using a step and will make you sweat. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothing you can move around in.
We recommend trainers that provide good stability and flexibility. Please bring plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated during the session.
Mind and Body
This class is a series of exercises (similar to Pilates & Yoga) for the whole body and combines mobility, toning, flexibility and relaxation to enable stress busting.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothing you can move around in.
We recommend trainers that provide good stability and flexibility although most of the session will be without shoes so socks or barefoot.
If you have any fungal foot infections, such as athlete’s foot, verruca, etc. please wear appropriate foot protection.
Please bring plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated during the session.
